PARKLAND MANAGEMENT PLAN
As part of the Parkland Conservation Plan, we carried out a Veteran and Notable Tree Survey using the National Trust’s Ancient& Notable Tree recording method. A woodland overview was also carried out, covering over 1000ha of woodland on this 1500ha site.
Both surveys were produced to help gain a clearer understanding of the role of trees and woodland in the historic landscape design, as well as their ecological value. Management recommendations for the restoration and preservation of the trees were made.
The analysis and recommendations were incorporated into the Parkland Management Plan.
